  • What album cover do you think best captures the essence of the album it belongs to?

What album cover do you think best portrays the themes, moods and images produced by the songs within the album?

Ex: King Crimson’s In the Court of the Crimson King

    Radiohead – "OK Computer"

The cover and the artwork capture the mood and themes of the album perfectly. I can’t think of a better example of this in any other album artwork.

Daydream Nation comes to mind. I don’t really know why, but the cover really fits.
Same with Wish You Were Here.

…because seriously… how can a 12"x12" album cover hope to convey the variety that lies within…. from Rocky Raccoon to Revolution #9 to Glass Onion to Ob-la-di-ob-la-da to Back in the USSR to Sexy Sadie to Blackbird to Helter Skelter???

Here are a few at random and only one from each artist in no order:

      The Beatles – Sgt Pepper
Grateful Dead – Blues For Allah
      Pink Floyd – Meddle
      King Crimson – Lizard
Traffic – Low Spark Of High Heeled Boys
      Utopia – Oops! Wrong Planet
Moody Blues – This Is The Moody Blues
      ELO – Time
      Yes – Fragle
      Camel -Moon Madness
      Genesis – Foxtrot
      Gong – The Flying Teapot
The Marshall Tucker Band – A New Life
Bob Dylan – Bringing It All Back Home

This isn’t everything by a long shot and they aren’t even all my favorites by the artists but the covers do fit the music.
