Great review, thank you for doing it. My thoughts of this album is almost uniqe to yours. It’s funny how I didn’t got in to the album until about a year after I heard it for the first time. Same with Harlequin Forest, I didn’t like it at all at first but by now I must say it is one of my all time favourite Opeth songs. I got into some state of euphoria when I heard it live on the European Progressive Nation tour a couple of months ago.
Looking forward to some more reviews, very appreciated.

I felt the same way about this album. When GR 1st came out, I didn’t like it instantly like I did Blackwater Park and Still Life. A few years later, I listened to GR the whole way through and I’ve loved it ever since.

      Actually I remember …
Actually I remember hearing The Grand Conjuration on youtube or something and I went out to FYE to buy it. I remember not being able to find it and then before I was gonna leave, I found it and bought it! I only bought Ghost Reveries because of The Grand Conjuration, but thankfully, I fell in love with this album and still do to this day :)
