  • Haunting Knockout Version of – “Caruso” by Lara Fabian

Posted by admin on February 23rd, 2010 and filed under albums | 25 Comments »

A true stage dynamo, Lara always leaves the viewer breathless with her gutsy delivery and matching gestures. Nobody moves like her !! Here she uses her talent as a dramatic actress to make the Italian classic “Caruso” come to life, and she does so in a way that rips the viewer’s hearts in a million pieces but makes you thank the heavens you’re alive to witness such beauty and authentic talent.
    Trained as Lyric Soprano

Italian-Belgian pop singer Lara Fabian was born to be a superstar diva. She was classically trained as a child, and at 18 she flew to Quebec to begin her career as a solo artist. There she released 3 successful albums, but soon the territory proved to be small for Lara’s ambition and talent. So in 1996 she launched her career in France with album Pure which sold 2million, and her international career took off in 1999 when Sony Music launched her first album with the hit “I Will Love Again”. Since then, Lara has released more albums and DVDs and collaborated with Josh Groban, David Foster and Walter Afanasieff. Rush to buy her albums, you’ll never go back

Great singing ! But who was Caruso? I bet you that 90% of the people listening to this don’t know that that wonderful song was a tribute to one of the greatest Italian tenors ever – the Neapolitan Enrico Caruso (25/02/1873 – 02/08/1921)….

      Ujrzał światła …
      Ujrzał światła pośrodku morza
Pomyślał o nocach tam w Ameryce
Lecz to były tylko nocne łowy
      I biała smuga silnika (łodzi)
      Poczuł ból płynący z muzyki
      Podniósł się znad pianina
Lecz gdy zobaczył księżyc wychodzący zza chmury
Nawet śmierć wydała mu sie słodsza
      Spojrzał w oczy dziewczyny
      Tamte zielone jak morze oczy
      I nagle pojawiła się łza
      I uwierzył, że utonął

      Tu gdzie morze lśni
      I mocno wieje wiatr

@deln10 i’m actually trying to be modest with my comparison since any other category is a landslide for celine. although i must admit that lara is fluent on several languages. lara is up there with the best but it’s hard to make an argument that she is the best ever.

    19. deln10 Says:

@publicdoor1 that was in the 80s. Theres lots of time for improvement after that contest and both werent in their prime.

    20. publicdoor1 Says:

      @deln10 your belief …
@deln10 your belief is false. it’s a fact the head to head competition celine won while lara was fourth in Eurovision Song Contest 1988. not that celine is the best singer out there but it shows at least that lara is not the best of them all.

For me she’s the legit “Great Diva”. She had formal music lessons at the Royal Conservatory of Brussels at 8 years old and can sing in several languages. She’s beautiful and voice-perfect almost like a Goddess (dive means in Italian deity/goddess which is the root word of Diva)
