is it only bands signed to major record labels?
For the 52nd Annual Grammy Awards, albums must be released between Oct. 1, 2008 and August 31, 2009. Recordings must be in general distribution in the United States, i.e. sales by label to a branch or recognized independent distributor, via the Internet, or mail order/retail sales for a nationally marketed product.
In the music menu, the artist "System Of A Down" Shows up twice in a row, and for both listings, one album is listed twice. Also, the same album is listed twice in the coverflow menu. For all of it, there is no difference in which songs are listed. There is no different spelling or information on Itunes. Does anyone know how to fix this?
if anyone of the infos are different( such as album artist or composer)cover flow would show the same album twice. try making the album part as a compilation
I’m an independent music artist and cannot for the life of me find someone who does album covers/art. I know I have to get the photography done elsewhere but I need someone who can manipulate that into a good album cover. Can someone point me in the right direction? I’d appreciate it!
Kinko’s copiers
I’ve downloaded all the updates possible, but my itunes still won’t show the song name and artist and album, I have to type them manually. How do I fix this?
My itunes won’t read the song title or artist or album when I inport a new cd. They are not burned cds, how do I fix this?
Cd’s don’t have the information; artist, song, album available when on the computer. You may have to ask apple about it, it could be a cd not on iTunes, it uses itunes to find your cd’s information.
I hope you understanded that right
LOL
I am a music lover but I’m tired of the same old radio crap. If someone could please recommend a song, artist, album or something. My personal preference is hard rock/heavy metal but I’m pretty open-minded to other stuff like Lady Gaga or Lil Wayne. So you can pretty much put anything you want, including Latino music.

um…. I can’t really think of any more off the top of my head, but if you like harder stuff give some of those a try
My entire itunes collection is organized, and i now want them to all just be in one folder, for easy access, (for dj program)
i already tried that, but it does not "unorganize’ the files already in folders, it only stops new folder from being created
just uncheck under advanced tab of preferences the option ‘keep itunes folder organized’.
I have a 16 GB Sony Walkman, and when I download music onto it, in its Library, it has an "Unknown Artist" album, and for bands like Safetysuit, there is one song in a folder called Safety Suit because of how it downloaded. How can I change these to my preference? I can’t figure it out and it really bothers me.
you may have to delete it (on the player) then go back to your original copy (you do have one, right?) and relabel the info on the original file.
Two songs that are totally his, from his album, and should an artist release two albums in the same year, can these albums square up against one other in categories?
Actually, it COULD happen… but to date, it has not and I doubt if it will ever.
1) Members of the Recording Academy and record labels (*cough* conspiracy *cough*) submit their entries.
2) Entries are reviewed for eligibility and classified by genre.
The genre part is self-explanatory. I don’t know what the eligibility requirements are other than the song/album being released during a certain time frame. I CAN tell you that SALES VOLUME is not a factor in the nomination process. It may appear that way, but only because maybe the persons voting on the nominees may be more familiar with projects they have heard on the radio or read reviews as opposed to, say, an indie artist who hasn’t gotten any airplay. I have seen plenty nominations that were NOT platinum or even gold.
For example: Kirk Frankin’s Nu Nation Project won a Grammy in 1999. The nomination process closes in the beginning of November and nominees are announced around the beginning of December. November 1998, that project had not even gone gold yet. It went platinum in January 1999, about 6 weeks after the nominees were announced (*hmmmm*).
I’m not bashing KF at all, just using this as an example to make my point of how everything appears to be linked.
3) Nominations are put on a ballot and sent out to industry professionals in all genres.
4) These professionals vote (*cough* politics *cough*) on these preliminary (first-round) nominees (they have to stick to their own genre) and send their ballots to a third party.
5) The votes are tabulated, and a final ballot is sent out. This time, industry professionals AND Academy members vote on the winners.
6) Votes are tabulated, sealed and delivered for presentation during the Grammy Awards live.
So…. TECHNICALLY it’s possible, but REALISTICALLY, it will never happen, which is fair, because it offers more opportunities for someone to earn the coveted award.
So, you can have 2 ice-cold Cokes in the fridge, but the chances of you sticking both bottles in your mouth at the same time and drinking them is not likely. It CAN happen, but not likely.
When I have a multi artist album I can put the "album" name in the "album artist" field in my itunes and it keeps all the tracks together but When I sync to my ipod it doesnt sort by "album artist". So when I look by "artist" or in the cover flow in the ipod the songs are all spread out and not together in one album, Its annoying how itunes and the ipod dont sort the same! Can anyone help??
