How do I get rid of album covers?

I’ve been using TuneUp Companion to gather album covers for my iTunes. ( I hate not having the covers). I’ve made a couple of mistakes and wish to remove and replace them. I admit to having only a basic knowledge of computers and cannot work out how to do it. Suggestions please!

Go into iTunes. Go to the album and highlight all the songs, then right click and select ‘Get info’. On here, go to the Artwork tab at the top, when the album artwork appears, click it and then click the delete option below it.

How to get my album covers back on my iPod touch?

All my album covers are messed up on my iPod. What happens is I’ll play a song and the cover will be from something else. Any way to fix this? It’s not really a big deal but I’m just wondering.

1) This is for older versions of itunes, maybe newer, but I’m not sure:
itunes has a tool to do this; You select the all the songs in an album (through search is usually easier), and there should be a picture/blank in the bottom left with a dotted outline. Fill this in with a picture of the album cover, save and sync.

I bought some CDs from the record store and copied them into my itunes. But for some reason, the album covers aren’t showing up. How do I make them appear in my itunes?

right click on the track and click on ”get info”. it will come up with a load of options to change different things. there’s a bit for the album artwork. just copy and paste a picture from the internet into it.

you can do it for multiple tracks as well by holding down the ctrl button/shift.

Why did some of my album covers just disappear on my iPod?

Okay so I recently updated my iPod to IOS 5.0 and it restored the iPod. After that update, some (not all) of my album covers to my songs have been gone. Ive already tried going to "advanced" on the top of iTunes and clicking "get album artwork" and it says it got them but they won’t show up when i go to my songs. Thankyou for any help in advance.

it looks there is a bug haunting the iOS 5, as the exact same thing happened to me and my iPod Touch 4G once I upgraded last week.

For now what I would think is best is to first make sure you don’t have any missing album artwork in your iTunes library (you never know if the bug might be roaming in the latest iTunes 10.5 too). Just follow these instructions when finding missing iTunes artwork:

When you have all of your album covers in your iTunes library in place, you can sync, although I doubt this would fix the problem on the device itself. We would need to wait and see what Apple has to say about this.

What college major would need to design album covers?

I’m a senior in high school and decided what to major in in college. I’m well into the music business. I was interested in audio recording but I’m also a visual artist. What would i need to major in to do album covers for like records. Graphic Design? Studio Art? Etc?

No. The right answer is marketing. What can you earn studying music? Not much. What future would you have? Music teacher – which is okay for China. Design? It is absolutely impossible to find a good job there or be successful there even if you studied and worked together with Jil Sanders. But in marketing they also need design, music and advertisment. Our postpostmodern world has to do with money. For all mayors you need an economic background, so why not studying it straightaway? You are also designing there.

Why does iTunes always mix up my album covers?

Whenever I plug my iPod/iPhone it always mixes up the album covers, so the songs don’t have the correct album cover! How do I stop this from happening and do I put it back to normal?

When you check the info in iTunes for that song, does it reflect the correct album cover or the one you see when you play the song? You may just need to edit the song info. If the songs on your computer have the wrong albums, then iTunes will conform the song files on your iPod to match the wrong info of the songs on your computer every time you sync.

How can you scan those vinyl album covers?

I used a scanner to scan the vinyl album covers, but it showed half of the cover. Are there any ways to scan the whole cover?

You can take it to a store (Kinko’s, or most printing store) with large format scanner and they should be able to scan the whole thing for you. Or take a picture – put the cover on a nice white background, then crank up the resolution of your digital camera and set your macro. Avoid direct flash. You should be able to get great details as well. And if nothing else and if you are good at Photoshop, do the old school way – scan half at a time then combine them

I’m trying to do a piece of artwork or collage or something for my college dorm room. I have lots of old album covers, but i don’t want to just frame them. Any ideas?

You could punch holes in one the lower left corner of one album then the upper right or left corner of the next album, tie a string through each hole and knot it and continue with a few albums and let it hang down from the ceiling?

Kind of like this effect only with albums…
