On itunes i have a bunch of songs that all are listed under the same album but they’re not grouped like that, they’re all spread out. how do i get them all listed in one album?
basically i just want to know how to drag songs into albums.

near the top there are bars with things like "name" "artist "album" etc.
click album, and songs will be grouped into albums.
click again and it will change the order alphabetically (Z -> A, or A -> Z)

if you want a specific album, type the album title into the search box.

oh i see..
select all the ones you want in the album (they should go blue)
right click and click ‘get info’
in the popup click the ‘info’ tab at the top, and type the name of the album into the album textbox.

I made a wedding album on aperture and replaced all the pages with custom layouts that I made. How do I use the same layouts for a new album without starting all over? and without simply replacing the pictures from the old album and replacing them with new ones? can i duplicate the file? save as… so there are two separate files? I can’t figure it out!

What do you think the best rock album of all time is and why?
Mine is Pyromania by Def Leppard cause they have so many good songs on it, Rock of ages, Photograph, Rock Rock til you drop, Stagefight, ect.

It’s hard to have a best rock album of all time since there are so many different styles of rock. I have a few that I think are great:

Pink Floyd-Dark Side of the Moon
Led Zeppelin IV- Stairway to Heaven -enough said
The Doors- The Doors
The Beatles- Please Please Me
The Beach Boys- Pet Sounds

Whenever I listen to an album on my iPod Touch, it will play the songs in a random order, instead of the order they are listed on the regular CD. I tested this, and it does apply to all albums on my iPod (with the exception of the albums consisting of one song I bought on iTunes). Is there any way I can make it so that the songs on an album will play in the order they are supposed to?

ok,
go to the first song in the album,
and play it
tap the album artwork once, and then the time in the song and other info should pop up, and in the rectangular box,
there should be a button lit up that has 2 blue arrows intertwined,
tap that button until it is white

there you go!

i have about 400 songs which do not have thier correct album names.Can I get a program which automatically fixes that?
P.S. Fixtunes did not work for me.

You can do it manually by right clicking, properties, then filling out all the information.
There is a program you can get, Media Monkey, but I’ve been told it’s easier to do it manually.

It’s annoying that some of the songs i have don’t have the album art. I just want a program that can find everything for each song. I’m correcting all the information, i just need something to apply the album art for my songs on my mp3.

windows media player does that if available.

I think its definetly Supposed Former Infatuation Junkie by Alanis Morissette. Everyone keeps talking about Jagged Little Pill and how great it is. Jagged was a great album but SFIJ is so much better. I guess it will just have to live on as a cult classic. What do you guys think?

Right now all my photos are all spread out individually when you click the "pics" link. I want them all in a My Photos album.

When I go to add/edit photos, it says they are all in a My Photos album, but it doesn’t show up that way.

What’s the deal?

btw, I have never created an album. All my pictures were uploaded before albums were made available on myspace.

If you only have one album, it’ll show up like that automatically.

A quick question.. If an unsigned artist or bands pays for all recording costs for an album, shops it and gets signed, WHO is the owner of the masters??? The artist??? The label for a certain amount of time??? If anyone could clarify this, I would appreciate it.

This boils down to a question of who owns the Copyright on the tracks.
if they r ur own tunes then you need to establish copyright, you can establish copyright by sending a copy of the sheet music or workings of the music,soundtrack & lyrics 2 urself by post or a lawyer or solicitor.This will prove copyright exists and will put you in better position if there is ever a legal prob or someone trys to steal your tune.Working with record labels all boils down to bargaining power if you r not an established artist then u pretty much have none(sxxt i kno but thats how it is) unless you r realy sharp r kno music law a manager is highly advisable!most probs these days r not the labels more other people stealing ur stuff.It wud also b advisable to trademark ur bandname although u will be charged for this.You should contact the musicians union who offer free legal advice for musians n bands.
