This band I love says they’re releasing their first album on itunes. What’s the difference between an album and a CD.

I’m aware that buying it on itunes doesn’t get me either, but I was just wondering.

Don’t say "One’s big and black and ones small and silver." That’s not going to help me.

There is no difference. It’s just a matter of preference. Some people like to say album, some people like to say CD.
